Getting Baptised In Covenant EFC (FAQs)
1) What are the requirements for me to get baptised in CEFC?
Applicant must have prayed to receive Christ. You will be required to state the date of your conversion on application form
Applicant is a member or regular worshipper of CEFC.
2) What is the minimum age for Adult Baptism in CEFC?
You must be 19 years old and above to be baptised as an adult in Covenant EFC. If you are between 13–18 years old, you can register for with our youth, The Next Generation (TNG). Please refer to TNG Baptism or contact tng.baptism@cefc.org.sg for TNG Baptism.
3) I am ready to be baptised. How do I go about it?
Apply to join our baptism class at https://cefc.ch/BaptismClass. The dates for upcoming classes this year are found in the above form. We will acknowledge your submission and remind you, 2 weeks before the class, to attend.
We will also arrange for a pre-Baptism meet-up with you (either in person or via Zoom), to get to know you better.
Thereafter, we’ll confirm with you regarding your baptism at the next baptism service.
4) Can I register my infant/child below 13 years old for baptism?
Covenant EFC generally does not practice infant and child baptisms. Please feel free to speak with any of our pastors if you have questions or concerns.
5) We would like to be baptised together as a family, together with our children who are 13 years old and above. Can this be done?
Yes, we celebrate family members being baptised together! If your children are 19 years old and above, all of you must have met the necessary requirements for Adult Baptism. If your children are 13–18 years old, they must have met the requirements for TNG Baptism.
Upon fulfilling all the requirements of baptism, you and your child/children can be baptized together at the adult baptism service. Please contact us at sgi.admin@cefc.org.sg so that we can liaise further with you as needed.
6) I was baptised when I was an infant/child. May I be baptised again in CEFC?
Even though we do not practice infant and child baptisms, we do recognise your baptism as an infant / child if you have been baptised previously in another church. Covenant EFC generally does not practice baptising members again. Please feel free to speak with any of our pastors if you have questions or concerns.
7) I was baptised as an adult in another church. Do I have to be baptised again in CEFC?
As long as you were baptised in a church that believes Jesus Christ to be the Son of God, and practices baptism according to His command as recorded in Mt 28:19-20, there is no need for you to be baptised again in Covenant EFC. We believe that, regardless which church, baptism is into the Kingdom of God.
8) I want to get baptised but I am unable to fulfill these requirements because of special circumstances. What should I do?

9) Where will the baptism class be held and how long is the session?
The baptism class will be conducted at ACK Center, Level 10. It is usually held on a weekend and the session will last for 2 to 2.5 hours.
10) Am I allowed to invite my family and/or friends to witness my baptism?
Yes! Baptism is a public declaration of our faith so inviting family and friends (especially pre-believers) to witness this momentous occasion is highly encouraged!
