Breakthrough Weekend: A Transformational Journey
Breakthrough Weekend (BTW) is an integral part of Covenant EFC’s disciplemaking journey. It is one of the key platforms by which we encounter God and experience His life-changing power upon our lives.
Come Away with God
To encounter God, we must intentionally set aside an extended time and space to be with Him. Being out of our usual routine and surroundings helps us focus on God. In such an environment, we are able seek God more purposefully, soak in His presence, hear His timely Word through the Scriptures, listen to His Spirit’s prompting and enjoy the spiritual community He has specially gathered for us. We enjoy the presence of God in silence and solitude, in prayer and worship.
Journey with Community
The discipleship journey is best lived out in a safe place within our spiritual community. Here, we can experience the freedom of being authentic, accepting and encouraging to one another and cultivating an empowering accountability as we share our lives together. At BTWs, we adhere to strict guidelines of confidentiality and avoid judging one another or presumptuously attempting to solve one another’s problems.
Programme
There are four kinds of Breakthrough Weekend: Men’s Breakthrough Weekend (MBTW), Women’s Breakthrough Weekend (WBTW), Young Adults’ Breakthrough Weekend (YA BTW) and Marriage Breakthrough Weekend (MgBTW). In each of these platforms, there are allotted times for hearing God’s word in season for the participants, personal devotion, silence and solitude, worship, prayer, ministry and small group discussion times.
Experience Breakthrough
Breakthrough happens when we allow God to break into our lives and we break with what binds and blinds us. So we invite Covenanters to make that space to encounter Him at the upcoming Breakthrough Weekends:
Men’s Breakthrough Weekend: 29 Nov – 1 Dec 2024
Women’s Breakthrough Weekend: 6 – 8 Dec 2024
Marriage Breakthrough Weekend: 6 – 8 Dec 2024
Young Adults’ Breakthrough Weekend: 9 – 12 May 2025
