Growing older often makes us more prone to isolation and feeling of aloneness. In EIC, we address this through two emphases that seem contradictory, but are equally important: building community and learning spiritual solitude. Day with Jesus is one way to do so. It’s where we learn spiritual solitude and we do so together.
The theme “One Thing” is based on the passages covered at our Spiritual Retreat this year: Psalm 27:4, Luke 10:41 and Philippians 3:13. It is a refresher for those who attended the retreat, and a way of bringing the retreat’s messages to those who didn’t get to join.
Come take time to be still. Build spiritual depth through being alone with God. And experience spiritual solitude as a delight and joy!
