Introduction
1. “I saw, I looked.” (vv.2, 4, 6, 7, 9, 11, 13) – seven times
What you see will determine how you live.
2. In Daniel 1–6, Daniel interprets the dreams of others. In Daniel 7–12, Daniel needs someone else to interpret the visions he received from God.
Two vital discipleship lessons from the vision God gave Daniel:
A. TAKE GOD’S JUDGMENT SERIOUSLY (vv.9-12)
“… and the Ancient of Days took his seat … clothing was white as snow … hair of his head like pure wool … throne was fiery flames … wheels were burning fire … a stream of fire issued … a thousand thousands served him, and ten thousand times ten thousand stood before him; the court sat in judgment, and the books were opened.” (vv.9-10)
B. SERVE GOD’S KINGDOM ONLY (vv.13-14)
“… behold … like a son of man … to him was given dominion and glory and a kingdom … all peoples, nations, and languages should serve him … his dominion is an everlasting dominion, which shall not pass away, … shall not be destroyed.” (vv.13-14)
Conclusion
Behold the Ancient of Days!
