Introduction
Two unshakable assurances as the Father sends us:
A. THERE IS UNPRECEDENTED PEACE IN THE GOSPEL (vv.19-21)
“Peace be with you. As the Father has sent me, even so I am sending you.” (v.21)
B. THERE IS UNSTOPPABLE POWER IN THE GOSPEL (vv.22-23)
“He breathed on them and said to them, ‘Receive the Holy Spirit…’” (v.22)
Conclusion
Let’s finish the Great Commission together!
Reflection Questions
1. Jesus said “Peace be with you” three times including when Thomas was with the disciples in verse 26. What is the significance of these words in being sent to continue Jesus’ mission in the world?
2. How can you depend more fully on the Spirit’s power as you answer the call to pray this Missions Week?
