Background
Two instances where Daniel had “no strength left” (vv.8, 16-17).
Daniel’s weakness was primarily due to his encountering a “man clothed in linen”, a theophany (vv.5-9).
How did God graciously strengthen Daniel? Three key ways :
A. GOD TOUCHED HIS SERVANT (vv.10, 16, 18)
B. GOD ENCOURAGED HIS SERVANT (vv.11-12, 19)
C. GOD REASSURED HIS SERVANT OF HIS LOVE (vv.11, 19)
Conclusion
“O man greatly loved, fear not, peace be with you; be strong and of good courage.” (v.19)
Reflection Questions
1. Can you recall a time when you felt weak or had no strength left to face a situation? What kept you going?
2. Among being strengthened by a touch from God, words of encouragement, and being greatly loved, what do you sense you need most from God in this season of your life and why?
