Introduction
The surprising new Marvel superhero
Leviticus 23 is a calendar of holy-days or festivals that the Lord had appointed. They were God’s initiative, and God’s imperative.
Question: Why did God calendar these holy-days and include such detailed commands? Why were they compulsory?
Answer: The calendar of festivals provided God’s people rhythms of remembrance.
These rhythms give us two reasons to remember God today:
A. GOD’S GENEROUS PROVISION (focus: the Feasts of Firstfruits and Weeks – Lev 23:9-22)
B. GOD’S GLORIOUS SALVATION (focus: the Passover – Lev 23:4-8, Exo 12:1-28)
Conclusion
Will you live a life of remembrance?
